Chennai Express has the most fantastic team" - Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan celebrates super-success of Chennai Express in style. Also present at the success bash was Rohit Shetty

He needs no introduction; he is the man himself, the King Khan. Almost half the year is over and we did not see Shah Rukh Khan after his last venture, Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It was only during the Filmfare Awards where he was at his funniest best. It is now, with Chennai Express that we will get to see our favourite superstar back on screen. Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan come together for the first time and bring in their best for their fans. Also, it is great to see how Deepika Padukone is back with where she started her journey in the industry. After Om Shanti Om, it is now that they both are back together and will work together in Farah Khan's Happy New Year. While Chennai Express is being appreciated by the critics and audience, SRK talks about his experience and the fun he had being a part of Chennai Express.

On Rohit Shetty:
Rohit is a wonderful gentleman, fantastic person and the most important thing is the vision that Rohit has for his films. Also this is the first time I have worked with such a director who girls find more attractive than me. That is a big issue. So in the next film we will cover his face. I always keep telling Rohit that you teach me action and I will teach you romance. I wish that in the next film we mix both and there is a scene where two cars are in the air while I am standing down with my arms wide open in a romantic way. His work speaks volumes.
On Deepika Padukone:
It is great working after 5 years with Deepika. She has grown as an actor. I have too much love for her because she did her first film with me. She is a fantastic actor and a great professional.  She has been working very hard and her last two-three films are absolutely stunning. Even though I don’t call her very often but I am very happy and I admire her work. Her character of Shantipriya and now Meena are both special. Whatever was written for the film, she has gone beyond that with her hardwork.
On being the king of romance:
Everyone has a different definition of love. Love is a universal thing. I play the role of a lover which is written by a set of people...it is their interpretation of love. But I feel we should respect life more than love. For me the person I am working with is more important than the story they are telling.
 The Chennai Express journey:
I'm named Rahul again in this film and since I have played Rahul too many times, in Chennai Express it goes like, `Rahul, Naam Toh Suna Nahi Hoga`. Though I got hurt during the process of the film, it is all worth the pain. Honestly, it is easier to do action with the team which Rohit plans than to do a love song in any film. It is gentle, harmless. I have started thinking that I can really become an action hero now. Chennai Express has the most fantastic team.
